When is the next election in Waterloo Township?

  • There will be a special election on May 5th, 2026, which will include a millage for SAESA, another for Ingham Intermediate School District, and another millage for Grass Lake schools. Sample ballots will be on display at the Waterloo Township office as soon as they are available. Any updates will be reported here.
  • There will be a Primary Election, likely on August 4th, 2026 unless there is legislation in early 2026 that changes that date. If that happens, this website will provide an update.

Change in USPS postmark practices

  • At the end of 2025, a new postmark practice took effect at the USPS. Postmarks will now occur on the date an envelope is first processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, NOT the date the piece of mail was dropped off at the USPS facility. This could affect eligibility of absentee ballots, so please plan accordingl
