Results for the May 5, 2026 Election

NOTE: these are only Waterloo Township results. All of the millages on the May 5th ballot apply across multiple jurisdictions. Check with SAESA or the school district you are interested in to see if the millages passed.

SAESA Millage: 304 Yes (57.7%), 223 No (42.3%)

Grass Lake Millage: 62 Yes (51.7%), 58 No (48.3%)

IISD Millage: 78 Yes (37.1%), 132 No (62.9%)

Election Announcements 2026: Important Notice

When is the next election in Waterloo Township?

  • There will be a Primary election on August 4th, 2026,
  • There will be a General Election on November 3rd, 2026.
  • Early voting is available for both of these elections at the Blackman Township Offices, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for 9 days, beginning the 2nd Saturday before the election (and ending the Sunday before the election).

Change in USPS postmark practices

  • At the end of 2025, a new postmark practice took effect at the USPS. Postmarks will now occur on the date an envelope is first processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, NOT the date the piece of mail was dropped off at the USPS facility. This could affect eligibility of absentee ballots, so please plan accordingl

When there are elections, eligible Waterloo voters can vote at the township hall at the following address:

For the August election, the Waterloo Township Clerk’s office will be open additional hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st. 

Early tabulation of Absentee Ballots will take place on Monday August 3rd beginning at 10:00 a.m. at 9773 Mt. Hope Rd. Four Election Inspectors will be performing this early tabulation of ballots.
