Election Announcements 2026: Important Notice

When is the next election in Waterloo Township?

  • There will be a special election on May 5th, 2026. So far the May election will include a millage for Ingham Intermediate School District, and possibly one for Grass Lake schools. Any updates will be reported here.
  • There will be a Primary Election, likely on August 4th, 2026 unless there is legislation in early 2026 that changes that date. If that happens, this website will provide an update.

Change is USPS postmark practices

  • At the end of 2025, a new postmark practice took effect at the USPS. Postmarks will now occur on the date an envelope is first processed by an automated USPS sorting machine, NOT the date the piece of mail was dropped off at the USPS facility. This could affect eligibility of absentee ballots, so please plan accordingly.
